We were enjoying our Disney cruise so much and after such a great day in Grand Cayman, we were so excited to arrive in Jamaica. This excursion choice was our most difficult. With our youngest being 4 on this cruise, we weren’t able to book much through Disney. We like to snorkel and be in the water so we booked private excursions. For Jamaica I was hesitant to go on our own too much just because I wasn’t familiar with the island. We decided to book through Resort for a Day. I loved that they would pick us up at port and drive us to the resort we picked. I went back and forth between Jewel Runaway Beach Resort and Hilton Rose Hall. I went with Hilton because it was closer and I knew the boys don’t always do well on long rides. We were told to meet the bus that would be taking us and once we got off of the ship, we made our way to the pick up spot. It was inside the gated port area.
The ride wasn’t long at all, but on the way it started to rain! I had put my guys in bathing suits so they weren’t super upset about the rain. I was a bit bummed and the ocean water was too rough to venture in!
The resort is beautiful, but the water park was closed so we only had one pool to splash around in. The boys had fun, but for the money we spent it wasn’t worth the drive. We could have stayed on the ship. Be warned that Resort for a Day does not refund for rain…so if it rains, you make the best of the day!
