So many people have asked if having a day at sea is okay. Ummm…YES, it is amazing! Disney has so much stuff going on that you will NEVER be bored. I woke up to this scene. Kids were sleeping, it was so quiet and I just sat outside on our balcony reading a book and enjoying this view:
The boys began to stir, so I went in and got them ready. I decided to start in a swimsuit with a rash guard. I got them ready for the day with sunscreen too because I figured they would want to swim. We always eat breakfast at Cabanas on the top deck. We like the variety, I LOVE the omlette station and my guys eat whatever they can find on the buffet that looks good to them. I’ll be the first to say that on vacation, I don’t care what they eat. Donuts for breakfast, SURE…donuts for lunch, SURE…I just don’t care that much. It is a week and nothing bad will happen in a week. My Ben likes meat…a lot…like a lot, lot, so he loaded up his plate with ham and bacon. He also grabbed a chocolate milk. I was okay with whatever he wanted! After eating, we went out to the pool area and one of the castmembers was impersonating Snow White. This friendly little bird was just hanging out with him!!
We decided to explore the ship and we went all around looking at everything. There are so many little areas that are amazing!!
After exploring, we dropped the kids at the kid’s club and the husband and I headed to the adult only area. We swam, laid out, talked, read books, got snacks at the Cove, ate a lot of ice cream and talked some more. We got a call saying the kids wanted to eat lunch and swim so we did that for a while. I also knew that it was formal night tonight for dinner so I we let the kids swim and then we went to get ready for our 5:45pm dinner. I ALWAYS book early dinner because we eat early. This worked out really well for us too.
Formal night was eating at Enchanted Gardens which was beautiful:
Okay, so dinner is finished and THIS is when the fun begins. Each night there is some show in the large theater. If you think your kids MIGHT not like it, TRY IT. My kids loved it…every single night…they loved it. Jimmy was on the edge of his chair, captivated and Ben was quiet which is a huge win! We always had a little bit of time between dinner and the show so we would hit up the other little activities they had going on.
Tonight there was a guy performing and my guys really enjoyed it:
After the show ended, they put on music and the kids danced around!
Day 2 was awesome and we had the best time. We loved our day at sea and the kids slept so well. Stay tuned because tomorrow we arrive in Cozumel. Where did we end up visiting with the boys? Did we like Cozumel with kids?
